Coalville Glass is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a renewal of the New Build Pledge - its commitment to customer care.

Says Ray Whitehorn, who  set up the family business in 1973 and continues to head the team which also includes wife Beryl, son Andy and daughter Deborah: "It's a bit like a couple renewing their wedding vows.  They've always been committed to upholding them but there's something valuable about restating that commitment publicly."

The Coalville Pledge was designed initially as a commitment to its customers in the housebuilding sector - the company has long-standing relationships with some of the UK's leading housebuilders.  It promises to supplying the best available products and work to a demanding service pledge which currently delivers an impressive 98.7% complete on-time deliveries to buildingt sites across the Midlands and beyond.

"We've included a housebuilder hotline within the pledge so that if customers have questions or concerns they can get answers quickly and efficiently.  The window industry has not always been renowned for its service quality but we have always made customer care our number one priority, and that has been a real cornerstone of our success."

Coalvlle is planning a series of charity and social events to mark its 40th anniversary, but continuing to deliver quality service is at the heart of the year's programme.
