Glazing & Thermal Insulation
Factory fitted 24mm hermetically sealed-double glazed units manufactured to BS5713. (4mm glass - 16mm air - 4mm glass). Using low emissivity glass. "U" values down to 1.74 W/m2k (see also standards - meeting part L)

Glazing bars are created by white inserts fitted inside the glass units.

 


Ovolo shaped glazing beads are fitted externally.


A full range of obscure and special glass types.
28mm sealed units.

Argon gas filled.

Windows with glazing bars can have astragals bonded to the outside surfaces of the glass units to create a convincing solid bar appearance. Astragals are available in a range of widths and can be either bevelled or ovolo shape.

Internally glazed.

Hardware & Security
Glazing is held in place with security tape to prevent easy removal.

Locking system - Mushroom headed espagnolette locking.

Hinges - Easy clean adjustable friction hinges.

All components are made from corrosion resistant materials.


A high security specification is available that complies with BS7950 and Secured by Design requirements.

 
 

Restricted opening hinges.
Egress hinges for fire escape windows in order to comply with part B of the Building Regulations.

Ventilation
Each window is fitted with a fully controllable 4000mm2 slimline slot ventilator.
8000mm2 ventilation can be fitted to many window types. Over-frame ventilator details available on request.

Acoustic Insulation
Sound insulation of the glazing is in the order of 25dB with 24mm glazing (4-16-4).
Special glass types are available to increase acoustic insulation.

Aesthetics
Windows feature finely proportioned, slim sightlines. This means that even narrow module windows are balanced and in proportion.

Sightlines are further enhanced by a unique gasket design that hides the black line usually found around the glass.


Swept head mouldings can be fitted to most styles of casement windows, fixed lights can be fitted with a dummy casement frame to maintain the sightlines.

Decorative horns are fitted to top hung windows to recreate the style of a traditional sliding sash window.
